My lived and clinical experience has led me to wonder whether, for the roughly 50% of autistic people who go on to develop alexithymia, the cause could be in our childhood environment.

I recently wrote to my MP about the EHRC draft guidance, which is awaiting parliamentary approval, and, if passed, would require organisations and services to exclude trans people from public life. Halfway through my mental health nursing degree, I started seeing more and more people talking online about ADHD. The more I read, the harder it became to ignore the obvious: throughout my life, my struggles with impulsivity, inattention and hyperactivity were a better explanation for my lifelong issues than anything I’d thought about before.
